My work explores the nuances of capitalism by questioning its the real benefits in a society where different elements, among them economic status and culture, permeate in our very ability to understand its effects.

By making use of the object of consumption as a unit of representation, I experiment with its variable semiological interpretations, striving to create pieces that can start conversations that travel between the art sphere and the social realm.

The discrepancy between life events and subjective experience are the departure point that sparks my interest to talk about the uncomfortable and the dismissed -not for their abject characteristics, but for their reflexive influence- looking to explore social and economic perspectives that are seen as obsolete (and of kitsch character), highlighting the problematic of a society where development and obsolescence become similes of value and appreciation.
